tamron 28-75 on a 5d2

think about getting one. its going to be for indoor portraits and studio work, my 28 is too wide and 85 is too long, i really need some versatility, but the alternatives are just too pricey for me to justify the cost right now.

anyone use a 28-75 on a 5d2 or FF body for portraits?

i used to own one on my 60D and it worked great but i'm leery of its sharpness away from the lens center or wide open on a F body.

thoughts?

if you're shooting indoor studio, why not 28-135? Stopped down a little, it should be pretty sharp across the frame. The 28-75 is good too, but not quite the range. Corners really take a hit (even stopped down), but shouldnt be too big of an issue for portraits.

this is my goto lens for studio/strobe stuff, it gives me great images , while it does have it's shortcomings for the price its a very good lens.
