Hi,
I recently bout a 60D. I have been researching starter lenses and I have decided to buy a MC HELIOS 44M-5 2/58 lens. My only trouble is, I can't find any information on an adapter or mount so that this lens could be used on my Canon camera. Can someone help me find a link to a mount or an adapter for the 60D, please. Also, will this non-canon lens work with EOS utility? Thank you.
here is the link to the lens I'm currently looking at.

Do not get that lens. Get a Helios 44-2 (58/2) M42 mount instead. Pleant of cheap (which work just fine) M42 to EF adapters on eBay. By the time you get up to the 44M series, they are a bit sharper but all the "Magic" is gone.

When you say magic is gone, do you mean it's productivity is worst or do you mean there is no drastic change?

The Russian version of the famous German Biotar is the Helios 44 line. When you get up to the 44M (newer) versions, the magic look, the biotar look is not there.

Having a Biotar (10, 11, and 17 blade), and a Helios 44-2 (and had a 44-6), gasrocks is correct.

The M42 is cheap, with or without AF confirm.

Very nice. I will not buy this lens. Any recommended buyers on e-bay?
I found this link. Do you suppose this will be more ideal?

Gotta be the most common used lens on eBay - Helios 44-2, make sure you get at least 8 blades. Should be able to get one for less than $50. w/S&H. Gene

Biotar (Helios) = swirly bokeh in some conditions, not always. Yes, simple answer.
