I put my T3i on a tripod (didn't change any settins) and started with Aspect Ratio 3.2 took a picture, then took a picture at these ratios 4.3, 16.9 and 1.1 loaded them in Lightroom and exported all four pictures with out any adjustments ( I did uncheck the resize image in the export of LR4), then I opened them up in Fast Stone viewer, I noticed two of the pictures looked like there was lens distortion, and I also noticed that the picture taken with 4.3 Ratio was sharper than the other three.
Would someone explain what is going on, I though that the Aspect Ratio setting of the T3i were only to show in live view, what would be in frame.

Without seeing the shots it's really hard to tell what's going on.

Here is two, The bottom one is the sharpest when I view them in Fast Stone, but it's hard to tell after posting here.

It looks like missed focus to me. Were you shooting in live view?

Didn't use live view, I think you are right about missed focus, I think I will set everything in manual mode so the camera won't do focusing automaticly and try again. Thanks for the help.

You can simply switch the camera to back button AF. ;)

Thanks, I didn't think about that.

I think the sharpness difference is simply down to camera shake. I know you used a tripod, but at 1/3 second shutter speed it is very easy to get some vibration in the tripod when you trigger the shot, which can cause a loss of sharpness.

On the first photo, the doorframe in the background is sharp, so you just missed focus. Retry your experiment with focus locked between exposures and see what happens.
