Apparently on July 4th weekend, my family and I happened to get just a bit too close to this little creature's fledgling babies, which he understandably disliked. Happily, though, he decided to show his displeasure by jumping onto a branch in front of me whilst I had my camera ready.
I just reran across this photo in my files from last year, and decided it needed brought to light. So, with a little bit of cropping help, I present to you: The flitting, fidgety, squirming, skiddish, nervous, jumpy and beautiful bird that is the Indigo Bunting.
