Hi fellas, im new to the forum and currently using a 450d/xsi and would like suggestions on a good lens but not too expensive. I shoot cars most of the time and i would like something that i can als use for distance shooting. Thanks guys!

You probably will not be able to see a difference in sharpness compared to a new $400 lens. If you want a very sharp image, but at wide aperture for depth of field purposes, then a new lens will help (specifically, a prime, or wide aperture zoom of which quality, but $400 won't get you that zoom; but it will get you a prime). Very best, If we disregard the zoom. What lense can you suggest for a sharper image.
