7d vs 5d3 - simple question

hi there,
sorry to bother y'all but I could find what I was looking for:

how many stops of improvement is the 5d3 in ISO performance over the 7d?

I am aware of the cleaner lower ISO files, I was wondering about the "generally acceptible" difference in the upper ISO files

Just under 2 stops in raw, check my mini-reviews in my signature... if it were 2 stops, the middle crop would look much closer to the left crop.

As Teamspeed tested, it's ~ 1 and 2/3 of a stop.

To me, the difference @ midrange ISO is more important, i'd say ISO800 on 5D3 is more of less similar to ISO320 on the 7D which to me is huge.

Typically those are two different bodies used for two different applications. Crop for sports, wildlife and FF for portraits, landscapes, low light, etc. That is not rule, more of a guideline. This does not mean you can't use one camera type for all these types of shooting. What will you be shooting most?
