Yup, as I predicted this is expected to be under $250. Flash Havoc is reporting under $200.

If its under $200 then I might be selling off some yn568ex's :cool: (if the v860 is compatible with the yn622 that is)

For me its the opposite; I have the CL-360 and using my Yongungo's w/YN622c is currently a PTA. Being able to have a single wireless controller for both is going to be awesome. I am considering phasing/replacing my strobes with the newish Godox QT600 series which also uses the FT-16 controller; just need Edward to start branding them too.

This is going to be a great year for technological advances in lighting!

My thing is they do not have a trigger that does ettl, power control, and hss all in one yet. Once that happens I would switch to their radio trigger. Though honestly all I realy want is a trigger that does remote power control and HSS in one as I really do not use ettl off camera.

So until they have that I'd like 622c compatibility.

Under $200 sounds incredible. I'm planning on using one of these on each of my cameras, BUT, I wish it could remotely control the two v850's I ordered up yesterday.

You can with the FT16's. They're manual flashes anyhow.

Right, but I can't control them while I have the 860 on the hotshoe, correct?

" .. can't control them while I have the 860 on the hotshoe, correct? .. "

Hi, I'm not sure that is correct.
Isn't it possible to separate M control from triggering with FT 16s to 850s? That's how it works with the Cells II.

Might be easier with Canon bodies as they leave the cam's pc jack live even when its hot-shoe is occupied & working. Which body brand are you using? Some SB Speedlights have a live pc jack on the Speedlight body but I don't think we know about the 860 Ving yet - Nikon version is still some way off. Is there such a thing as an ITTL pass-through hot-shoe adaptor that creates a live pc out jack, for Nikon?

The main improvement I could see would be if they put a transmitter inside the flash. Although that would bump the price up. Still looks very interesting especially since its Lithium Ion. Im not to concerned with the transmitter being TTL.. However the ability to control the existing flashes would be nice. This flash would be nice on camera because of recycle times.

For the 3'rd party flash noob (just have a single 430 exii). Does waiting for the "cheetah" brand name make it better? I don't mean that sarcastically either, is there a reason to get the cheetah over the godox or the neewer?

I was about to purchase a 568ex to go with my 430 and yn-622 triggers. But really like the idea of getting an 860 and an 850 both could do HSS of camera and the 860 on camera could do ttl which is about the only time I use it.

Yep, Customer service. The flashes themselves are exactly the same (except for the name on the flash) you go with cheetah for their CS

Try contacting Neewer for a problem that you have with either an order, or heaven forbid something that is not functioning properly. Warrantee?

You may think you are saving money by buying from Neewer/Godox; remember

TIME=MONEY

Cheetah worth waiting for.

There are a couple of things that Godox should do for this system;
A) make the H mode change something that can be accomplished via the remote controller.
B) Add a fire trigger signal capability to the V860. (both manual and ETTL versions)

As an aside, the version of ETTL they should incorporate into the V850 should be the Canon 600EX-RT system. Especially since it includes the older ETTL-II from previous Canon speedlites.

I wonder if HSS is doable with the 622c.
