When the geese have icicles hanging off them. Thought this was pretty crazy when i seen it! Thanks for lookin.

Great shots! Last week on Lake Michigan I saw a female red-breasted merganser with her chest almost completely covered in ice. It's been that kind of winter.

Oh my word! Now that's what I call cold. I've often wondered how the geese handled such cold weather, but I've never seen some with icicles on them!

Burrr! mother nature can be tough that's for sure. We had an ice storm early this winter and I spotted a pheasant with a chick crossing the road that next morning. The hen had a sheet of ice on her from the neck to the tail. The tail was dragging on the ground with a visible block of ice stuck to it.
