Picked up a small bouquet today for my wife, and this was one of the flowers. Not sure what it is, but it definitely turned out to be a very cooperative subject.

Thanks for looking, and as always, all comments appreciated.

Wow...that is a stunner of a flower...and it really pops on the black background. Not sure if you noticed, but there is some artifacts just right of the stem, and lower left of the edge. What kind of light rig did you use for this?

I did miss the artifacts. . .thanks for pointing that out. As far as the set up, well it's pretty simple. . .a hand held 5DII with available light was the extent of the set up. . .the black background came about through a little curves adjustment.

I do use a black blanket on some occasions for the background, but in this case it was just a little curves adjustment. Thanks for looking. . .
