Great job! I'm surprised the panorama did not result in shape bending of the shuttle.

Thanks for the compliments everyone!

There is some distortion in there aridan, especially toward the bottom bay door's lip. I corrected it a little but didn't take enough shots above or below to retain enough information for a better crop.

Peter, my dream was always to see one in person for a launch but I was never able to get down there for one. One day I'll go out of my way to see some type of launch there. I'm extremely unlucky as the afternoon we left Florida, there was an Atlas rocket launch that same night :(

The bottom of the door is indeed distorted, but the shuttle body appears to be pretty straight. Which is just great!

Nice! I've seen shuttles on a 747 flyby, Huntsville, Air & Space, but never seen the bay doors open! it looks much bigger in capacity now that I can see that.

Thanks Frank for the welcome and the compliment.

Yeah, hauling cargo (satellites, experiments, space station components, etc.) was probably its primary design objective more so than providing transportation for the astronauts. You don't realize this until you see it in person, on display, all open like it is at KSC.
