Looking for a fun way to view pictures

So this is sort of random, and I didn't know where to put it. I have a self-diagnosed minor case of OCD. So over the past 10 years, I have neatly organized every single photo I've taken by year, month, and DAY. So you can imagine that's a LOT of folders!

My question stems from when I was listening to my itunes today, and I hit shuffle, and heard to great tracks I forgot about from years ago. So I wondered, is there a program that does this for pictures? I would love to randomly shuffle through my entire library of pictures, or see them pop up with different effects, or just something to make it more entertaining than just sitting here and opening each folder and just looking at them one day at a time. Anyone?

Lightroom. Sort by keyword.

Windows media center has something to this effect. Play a music playlist then hit play slideshow and presto, the whole album at random. You can do individual albums as well, but those are all sequential.
