I'm wondering what the smallest tripod head is that takes the RC4 plate. I want the head for my little Manfrotto 293 tripod. I presently have a Manfrotto 494 RC2 Mini Ball Head on that tripod.

I recently purchased a Manfrotto 410 Junior Geared Head ("Junior!" The thing is huge) for my old Heiwa tripod, and I'm completely in love with it. It is the tripod head of my dreams. The 410 is just too large to use on the 293, however (it makes the balance wonky). I would like to leave the RC4 plate on my 6D permanently, thus the desire to replace the mini ball head with something that takes the same plate.

I prefer 3-way tripod heads. I really dislike ball heads (I find them very imprecise). But, I'd put any style on the 293 if it allowed me to use the RC4 plate.

I've done a bit of Googling . . . and I'm having a hard time figuring out how big the RC4 heads are in relation to each other. The Manfrotto 808RC4 3D Compact Head might be a contender.
