I say that those most likely are wrong. The camera is already capable of about 23 RAW in the buffer. The rest of the specs are the same or only slight increases of its current abilities.

I'm not impressed by it either.

Highly unlikely Panasonic are going to be privy to information outside of Canon. They are usually very tight lipped about this sort of thing. The rumours were that a camera was going to be announced at the winter olympics. I just didn't bank on it being on the lower end of Canon's line.

Items such as these appeal to people who are more interested in rumors than in photography.

They impatiently wait for the announcement of the next shiny new toy, then rush to condemn it from preliminary specifications and never actually using the camera.

I'm interested in replacing my well used 7D. I'm just not too impressed with what Panasonic may or may not have leaked.

according to those specs, little to no reason to upgrade. I dont think those will be the real specs.... too lame.

Unless Panny are making the sensors for it, they WOULDN'T be privvy to it's specs, would they? Might be a ploy to tempt potential users into buying a top end G series CSC. But if that were the case, surely Canon would sue?

Two things to consider here: As mentioned above why would Panasonic know and publish a preview of the 7DII and would they even bother to be accurate? Secondly, if you remember back when the 6D was announced the stats made it seem like a poorly repackaged 5DII with a few disabled features and a new gimmick. But the devil was in the details, the low light focus ability and the high ISO performance have made it a winner. Dont rush to judge.

I am fairly certain that Canon will make a public announcement when/if the 7D2 is released. Until then, everything is speculation and unfounded rumor. You can get that at canonrumors.com. They specialize is BS.

Nonsense. 19pt af? Same as the old 7D and the 70D? Why bother?

Good point on the condemning part.

And yet, here you are "reading", and "commenting" (about fools who read about rumors) in a thread.. in the rumors and predictions sub-forum. Strange, that.
