Possible 7D II specs released?

Wait.. What?? Someone has tested the unannounced 7DII?

He was talking about the current 7D... Saying that the sensor in the 70D has roughly the same performance. Not much benefit (if they shoud reuse it in the 7D Mark II).

The new SOny A7000 shoots 10fps and claims exceptionally fast AF and for $560. When a mirrorless entry level camera smokes your top of the line crop camera, it's time to rethink your strategy.

And it might win some market for sports/birds if they had some lenses out there available. Maybe some solid used lenses on KEH.com or B&H or any Photo Classified.

You may be right there, I'm already on record as thinking the 7D2 won't happen though. I can't see where they can really split the 70d and the 5D3 given the 6D's presence too. I was being a bit cheeky with my earlier reply meaning if Canon changes it's priority from video to stills, such an aggressive AA filter wouldn't be necessary on the 7D thus improving its IQ

I don't know what to think, other than it's been way too long if there is indeed going to be a 7DII. I'm really beginning to wonder. In the meantime I'm happy with what I've got, and enjoy the hell out of it.

Panasonic releases Canon specs, LOL, maybe it is fitting that Fool's Day precedes Hallmark Day (a.k.a. Valentine's).

The specs seem ho-hum but if the sensor in it is a big improvement THEN all those specs seem great. I'm wondering how many are at the Olympics now and if they are different prototypes or just close to the final version for final testing.

After reading some of the articles link to the OP post article, why am I sensing that the beg new feature for the 7D is going to be 4K video?

Why do people believe panisonic would have a clue what the 7D II specs would be?

I don't really put much faith in those specs, but having just seen a brief review of an A6000, the 7D2 had better be something magical, because even the Canon lens line up will not be enough...

I really just hope that Canon holds off on any of their higher end cameras until they figure out a better sensor tech.

I don't see how these specs could possibly be right since who would trade up from a 7D to this? What does it give you besides better video capabilities and a little more MP? Sensor is going to be basically the same as everything else they make.

Unfortunately it seems Canon has fallon so far behind in the sensor and body wars they no longer are worried about catching back up, let alone becoming the leader. With that being said I would speculate that they are in real danger of losing enough ground to Sony/Nikon/Oympus/Pent​ax that once lost they'll never be able to make it back up.

I hate to say it but Canon will be my secondary system after I order either the Nikon D800 or D600 this weekend. I'll keep a couple of my Canon lens for general use with a t2i for out on the street photography but the Nikon system will be the bread and butter system from now on. I've played with files from the 5D MIII, D800, D600 and the Sony A7/A7r and the 5D MIII files just don't impress me as to how much you can push or pull from the raw data. In this case more is much better.

Remember, this is speculation from a competitor of Canon's.

Actually, a leak from a competitor caries quite a bit of weight. If this camera is so close to release as some seem to think, (being used a Sochi and such) I'm sure all in the business have had their look.
