So ive had my canon 6d and 50mm 1.4 since november. I am fairly new to photography so i thought the issues I am having were my fault. it turns out that I am almost sure its not me.
I am noticing very bad front focusing on all my images where the subject is at least 5 feet away from me. The issue is not noticeable closer to the subject. I have read a lot about micro adjusting, etc but do not feel comfortable doing it myself.
I did the battery at an angle test and it seems that without moving the camera and not changing anything sometimes it front focuses, sometimes back focus and sometimes its fine. Is that normal?
At this point I am just considering sending it to canon since its still under warranty.
Any success stories out there? All I seem to find are people hating the 50 1.4 saying its horrible and that they have had to send it back 3 times and canon never really resolves the issue...
thanks!
