Just got my 10 stop ND and this is my first attempt at using it. Any and all suggestions will be appreciated on how I can better utilize this tool.

This wind was blowing like crazy, and it was starting to get a bit wet out. I believe this was shot at 40 seconds.

Thanks for the help

Cracking sky! Looks like you've got the hang of it, just need a bit of foreground interest;)

Thanks RJL, I appreciate the comment. As for the foreground, I agree. What I was most interested in was trying to arrive at a starting point with the filter.

You got the hang of it, on your first try. They are great for taming the intensity of light during the day, moving water, moving clouds. They can also help eliminate moving subjects (people) that you dont want rendered in a photo.

You must have a pretty sturdy tripod, to get that clean image, in the conditions you describe. Nice and crisp, where it should be.

Thanks plantastic. . .I don't know if I have the hang of it or not, but. I'm having fun learning. As for the tripod. . .it's a Manfroto, and I was shielding it from a lot of the wind.

That's a little strong for my tastes, but it certainly shows me that I could do a bit more on my version. Thanks. . .

I attempted a little additional PP work after seeing what was possible. I didn't take it as far as was suggested, but I do like this edit much better.
