USA More info | Here is one of my favs. I call it "Who's Railroad is it?" because it is has units from 3 of US and Canada's 6 Class 1 railroads. It was also a chance we took to shot this. We herd this guy coming while we were setting up our shot for the UP2001. We took the chance and cought this guy outside Rochelle, IL.. We ended up missing the 2001 that day, but this shot was well worth it. Needless to say I cought the 2001 a few months later sitting in a yard a nice sunny summer day.

How far off the tracks were you? I was about 7 or 8 feet away from the rails. I almost always stay 5 feet or more away, unless I'm positive that its clear. Of course, on a curve, there is no "positive". I used the 70-200 telephoto zoom in that shot so it may appear that I'm closer than I actually am. Tom
