It was a very wet Christmas for traveling here. It's nice to let Amtrak do the driving.

Ah yes! I forgot...This EMD powered Baldwin was sitting on the Mare Island Causway the other week. No markings of ownership whatsoever. Kind of like an Athern "undecorated" kit :cool:

Unless that particular locomotive is reversed in it's controls from almost every other locomotive in America today that's a friendly Conductor or Brakeman waving as the Engineers seat is on the opposite side of the cab. Still it's a good photo and a nice scene.

I cant speak for the Dash 9 in the shot, but NS still has a lot of locomotives that are set up for "long hood forward" operation. I see them all the time down here in the Carolinas.
