While this isn't a train as such it is a part of one, and I think it is funny, some people just don't understand.

The dents were more obvious in person than they are compressed to 800 by 600.

Now after all these shots I have not seen the Canonball Express.

Does it still exist? Casey Jones was my favorite show when I was about 5 or 6

Stunning photo. Beautiful lighting.

Just a reminder...The maximum total image size is 800 pixels on the longest side. That would include framing.

Whoops, forgot about that. I just took the shot from my websites gallery, didn't think about the size restriction.

Very nice UP shots. I'm guessing you don't see a lot of those in New York.

I was driving past the big UP yard in Colton today, and saw a beautiful, brand-new GE demonstrator on the point of a westbound lashup. It was gorgeous, and shinier than my car. Unfortunately, I was on the freeway in heavy traffic heading the opposite direction, and to get off the freeway and backtrack to where I might get a shot, I would have probably added an hour to my trip home. It was tempting, though.

belmondo, that GE demo is actually UP's newest engine. They asked for it to be taht way, its part of the UP/GE clean air stuff. Kinda promoting cleaner diesels.

And UP's in NY/NJ aren't that rare, actually becomming more frequent.

Interesting.....It sure is striking looking.

I'm sorry to hear you're seeing more and more UP engines back there. I feel your pain. I'm just sick of yellow...that's all we see out here except for the odd leased unit or the occasional NS and CSX units.

Anyway, thanks for that information. I hate being uninformed.;)

BTW, now that you mention it, the numberboards did show a UP number. In fact, they said UPXXXX (I don't remember the actual number).

That is wonderful! That locomotive is older than most of the members here. I'm happy to see it still being put to good use.

I'd love to see any/all of those. The RS-3 is one of my favorite old engines, probably because I used to have a model of one over 50 years ago.
