I do believe this is an RS-3. (Further inspection reveals this to be an ALCO RS-1b)

It was tempting, though. Actually that was taken in Selkirk, NY's yard and they UPs come through there daily. It is a main yard on the east coast so I think it is a hub for the UPs. I am not a true major Railfan... got taken out for a day by someone that is. I think these are very cool looking engines though, so I took a lot of pictures of them. I love trains and like to shoot them, but don't know a lot about them. Mike
