Absolutely. Steamers always do it for me.

The complexity and the ever present danger of running one of these is just intense. My Grandpa was an engineer for the C & O for 57 years going from steam to diesel. He said that when he was forced to start driving diesels it was the end of the railroad.

Well, not long after I think he started liking sitting up there in and enclosed, climate controlled cab. Though, of course, he would never admit it.
