Love trains! Loved em since I was a little kid. Dunno, there is just something about them I find fascinating. Sadly I don't have many train shots at all.

I want to die peacefully, in my sleep, like my grandfather.
Not screaming, terrified, like his passengers.

I always had a dream when I was a young boy that I would be a conductor someday.

I can answer that, the Engineer is busy doing all sorts of important stuff to run the train, now the conductor is also busy and he is doing this

HOSTED PHOTO DISPLAY FAILED: ATTACH id 769860 has been deleted. ]

:-D I'm just kidding, he is a great conductor and I wish we had more like him. We are on CSX Philadelphia subdivision in a siding waiting on eastbound traffic and we are going to be waiting at least another hour before we go.

My dad was a conductor for New York Central, retiring from Penn Central in 1975. He of course got the privilege of riding in something I think they called a caboose at the back of the train..... I got to ride in one of them things one time :-)

lol, yea this guy! This was actually my first attempt at train photos. Put the camera on an electrical box near the track on a gorilla pod. Stood back with a remote shutter. Was pleasantly surprised to see the guy waving!
