Not really. Most stacking programs do a good job aligning the different shots. ps does a great job.

Thanks! When the light is right, that is a great spot for shooting trains, and has been for years. You can find all kinds of old shots of Santa Fe F units and such from back in the day rolling over the same siding.

As a matter of fact, if I had turned around, this would have been my view, and it doesn't look much different today then it did when this shot was taken in 71, except for a lot more vegetation to the left:

I have to drive 2 hours for any transcon.

I do have these here - cell phone shot but it is over 100 BNSF -9 units tied up waiting to be rebuilt to new AC units:

Not because it is a great photo or anything but not all trains in Japan are hyper modern bullet trains or packed to the gunnels with commuters. What they all are is well looked after. Not a hint of vandalism, graffiti etc.
