I've posted in this thread a while back... been a while for me. I was out scouting for some locations I want to shoot "other" types of shots and ended up out along the old Route 66. I turned off at a road called Minneola Rd. What I was doing was looking at something I had not seen before - a historical marker next to the BNSF railway. Now I worked for the old Santa Fe and then BNSF for a little over 38 years. Did pretty much everything there was to do except office work... so... I've been around... seen and been lots of places from one end of the country to the other, but I had never even "heard" of this marker... or if I did, it was so long ago I have forgotten about it.

Now the thread rules say I have to post a photo of a train. I will.

I will also post a photo of the marker. Since I can only post 2 photos... someone will have to ask me to post the close-up of the marker, if you want to read it that is.

One can read it just fine if they enlarge it a bit. Nice train shot and thanks for the history.
