Kiamichi RR crossing Lake Texoma on the old Frisco (SLSF) bridge. KRR is a short line that runs from Madill, OK east to Ashdown, Arkansas.

Really stretching the zoom on my Nikon, the bridge is about 1/2 mile from the beach I was standing on. When I was a kid we lived near the lake, would go out to the bridge at night, tie off to a pylon, and fish all night long. It was always spooky when a train came over.

Lucky you were using a bridge camera, eh!

Still waiting for the wisdom they promised would be worth getting old for.

The leaves are falling and the annual railhead treatment trains are out.

Can't better that.
Beautiful scenery with a classic steam train to boot

I gather the ants across the way are fellow photographers.
Quite a gathering.
Do you have free access to paddocks? I could imagine farmers getting rather irksome.

Common ground I gather for all to pass.

I see the designer was John Sydney Crossley and you are of same name.
Any relation?

The last "Scarborough Spa Express" of the year with Jubilee class 45562 "Alberta" galloping across the Yorkshire Wolds en route to York.

A couple of days later there was another Scarborough bound excursion, this time "The Lune Rivers Trust" which was headed by Merchant Navy class No 35018 "British India Line", seen here thundering through Garforth station near Leeds.

Unfortunately this had an unhappy ending with problems at Scarborough causing a very late departure.
