I used Google maps to locate a good place as it came through Oklahoma. Google maps do not resemble the world from human eye level. Sad thing is I drove by the perfect place on the way to the place I picked out. TerryMc

unclejohn Goldmember More info | Nice colors, well composed, the fine detail works beautifully. Definitely wallhangers. To my eye, though, if I'm allowed to complain, I'd say that the thick black lines around them, especially on the first one, are a bit too strong. I don't know anything. But I know other things.

Maybe the reason here? Looks okay on Flickr. This is a shot from my Flickr account. This is an overhead shot (Google Earth) of the yards in Elkhart, IN built I believe in 1953. At the time it was built it was the largest rail raid in the world. The red arrow on the right side shows the location of the "Hump" where cars will be slowly pushed to go into the yard, sometime one at a time, sometimes two or three at a time to "make up" new trains. Kszok Senior Member More info | I started adding borders about 10 years ago, but I don't remember the exact reason. I think it was influenced by one of my friends who put borders on his images. I liked the look. It's not something that everyone likes. Thanks for the good comments.
