I thank you for these!! I liked the first one best because you were there with the engine at full stop then he moved a few hundred feet then stopped again. That was different for me, I have no idea why he did that.

My father was a railroader with New York Central then retired from Penn-Central with 40 years between the two but I really never learned about rail roading from my dad. He was "on-call" never knowing for sure when he was going to need to go to work.

my dad was with the Grand Trunk Western as was my grandpa and one of my uncles. all Carmen, never crew.

my dad is 92 and he doesnt remember much about his work, and the information i get now contradicts what i got yesterday and tomorrow will contradict today...
