It was fun finding this thread. There are so many great shots shared here. Trying to decide which of my images is my best is very difficult as many others have stated.

The Chicago bound Southwest Chief arriving at Fullerton.

Today this is a museum train but 20 years ago a train could look like this in this very spot.

I liked how close the black and white image look the images that where taken 20-70 years ago of trains like this.

Of the X7p´s still in existance there are two, one on the tramway museum in Stockholm and one is rebuilt as a work vehicle on Roslagsbanan.

No X9p exists today :(

the small p stands for 891mm narrow gauge, there are no simmilarities between the X7 and X7p. Likewise the current fleet of commuter trains are called X10 but on roslagsbanan there are X10p train which are nothing like the X10 trains.

Quite clear isn't it

Form our trip to Shildon, this is a small steam loco with one carriage that is laid on for the tourists, and the kids wanted a ride so we had to go in it

At the timne of the photo was taken they were feedig water into the boiler and the guy pictured was running some checks before jumping into the cab, and we were off!
