Here's mine from a few weeks ago at the Old Sacramento Train Museum. Hand held at ISO 3200(except for #2). They don't allow tripods except on one special day of the year..... tomorrow. I'm going, so we'll see what we can do.

Great shots. I'm a fan of tight crops. IMO the sky is way over processed in 2. I'll have to make it up there someday to see that.

I hope that you get some excellent shots today with your tripod. The one thing which I find sad is that some museums have more collection than they are able to maintain as is shown by the second photograph and two locomotives and tenders in need of paint. However these could also be recent aquisitions awaiting funds to restore, but they did come from somewhere.

Keep in mind, with the value of scrap metal today, if these museums don't get them now and at least store them until the much needed funds and volunteers become available they'd be scrapped in an instant.

True, but it would be preferable that they be restored sooner rather than later....

It is to the credit that so many of these old machines were donated to various cities, museums etc. in the first place rather than to the not so tender mercy of the scrapers touch.

Saw one of the Coors Light Silver Bullet engines go by with a passenger train today. It's leaving for Toronto again at 6:45pm tonight. Just might have to go down to the station and see if I can get some pics :D
