wow and UP 844 doesn't even have a widebody diesel with it. Shame the only UPs I see are ex conventional CITX units and modern Widebodies - (which is fine, cause they look good).

Thanks for that! Wow that camera hit the weeds fast. Lucky you got it back in one piece. Good video of the train.

Yep... I kind of blasted out of there to catch the next crossing. the camera laid there for about an hour too. I was glad to see it was still there and even happier that it was still in working order when I got back

I thought that looked familiar. Here's a shot I took of the same train a couple of months ago. I live in Niles and am lucky to see this train often from my backyard.

Beautiful images.

A few shots of ATSF 3751 at this year's San Bernardino Railroad Days event.

Arriving Saturday morning.

Tractor vs Train

Both tractor and train sustained damage, both drove away, only minor injuries.

I don't understand the 'Restricted Visibility' sign. I can see everything perfectly. Interesting situation, well captured, Mel.

Those signs are posted because the fields go right up next to the rail bed, and when corn is planted in those fields you cannot see in either direction until you are pretty much right on the tracks. At this time of year, and when there are low growing crops planted, you can see for miles in either direction.
