I am looking to purchase a Billingham 555 bag in the near future. I would like to be able to use it as a carry on bag on airplanes. My intent is to put two camera bodies (6D and T2i) , a 15-85, 70-200 f4, some accessories, and a change of clothes in it for air travel. Have any of you used a 555 as a carry on bag? According to the dimensions, it appears that it is small enough to fit overhead but I want to make sure before I purchase it. Thanks!

John

You're right on the dimensions, no problem unless you stuff it really full and distort the shape...I've just ordered a 555 for exactly that purpose...only question then is will they allow it as a "purse or other handbag" along with a carry-on size trolley...I've been looking long and hard and this seems to be the perfect bag for this role...we'll see - arrives Monday!
