Beautiful shades of photography. The photographer has done a great job. Just loved it. Can u give the details of the camera in which the shots are taken?

Overall these are good. If I'm being picky--and we should be--I'd offer the following critique:

1-cool, dramatic. You really should clean up the spots around her mouth, though--it does not help the image.

3-awesome moment--clearly authentic expression from the bride. I might have cropped closer to simplify the scene (cropping out curtain on the right). and I might have cloned out light in the background that appears like microphone for the bridesmaid.

4-I'd like more depth of field with a fabulous smile like that. If you haven't softened her up a little with neg. clarity at least, I'd definitely add a smidgen around her eyes and forehead crease. My goal wouldn't be to eliminate these, but just to soften them, particularly when dealing with such a tight shot.

5-a boring shot without a little searching. I can now see it's doing a few things: setting the scene in terms of location (joisey), climate (snow) and venue (the church).

6-his eyes appear closed at this size--and this is the size the photo is likely to be viewed at. Fatal flaw in my opinion and I don't see how it's one of the 8 of your faves of the day. The image has that kind of 'cut off' feeling with the edge of the bouquet there. If this was your crop having her lose the bouquet and maybe place her right hand on him somehow might have helped.

7-good control of light with respect to ambient (background) vs. subject exposure. I get that the gent's expression here can be seen as kind of feeling the gravity of the day and not necessarily bored or 'over it' - but it doesn't read to me as a moment / expression that needs to be highlighted as a significant moment of the day. There are many ways to tell the truth, right ?

9-great lighting here. And you short-lit the bride which was a good move here. Very subtle use of background for pop. Good expressions. In terms of color balance, I'm seeing a lot of blues and purples on the couple--they read as being fairly cool (color balance wise) here. I'd warm this up considerably. You might have been kind of scrambling for a decent background here, but this one seems kind of uninteresting. Was there a symmetrical portion of the venue you could have used ?

Thank you! I appreciate the C&C. Ive reached a point where I am able to be very honest with my own work and had many of the same critiques as you except for number 6. I think their eyes are closed. It was snowing and blowing so hard, I doubt they could have them open. We even tried the "1,2,3 open your eyes" but it just wanst working, too much ice/snow blowing into their eyes.

Also, I was too excited to use that new 85 1.2 AT 1.2 for the bridal shot. Yes, I probably should have shot it at at least F2.8 if not more. Good crit! :D

Can I ask how you did #1? Was it just an off-camera flash behind her, fired straight into the off-side of her head?

Yes, you can ask and yes, thats how I did it. :D The room was very bright but the flash was pretty close to her so I was able to darken the ambient with the aperture, low iso and 1/200th shutter. :D
