OK, I'm struggling with my limited trial time to try and figure out this website and I'm doing a so-so job of it! I am watching tutorials on the site, which have helped, but I am still having trouble customizing a website there.

Can anyone tell me if all of the "presets" are fully customizable? For example, I chose the "Aurora" template because I like it's layout the best but, like all of the presets, it comes in a specified color scheme. I have figured out how to change most of the colors to match my brand, but I CANNOT figure out how to change the BLUE background of the site overall. Here is a photo, so that you can see:

As you can see, the background is BLUE (the default color) and I can't figure out how to change it. I did change all the other font colors, borders, etc.

Any help or direction would be greatly appreciated! (Even if to direct me to another source that doesn't cost me to figure this out.)

The trouble is I've forgotten how I set mine up due to a medical issue that has caused major memory issues. But I use a dark gray background. Have a look at www.rcb4344.zenfolio.com (external link)

So persevere, if I managed it, then there must be a way.

Have you asked the site to explain it to you? I find its normally the simple solution.

I've looked on the FAQ and only saw a referral to a site where someone can fix the problem -- for a fee. Also, still watching videos, so hoping it's addressed (hasn't been yet, but maybe because it's a specific template and there are so many.) Thanks for the words of encouragement! I fee like I've tried everything on the edit page for the template, but I am, clearly, missing something (unless that default blue just can't be changed.) Thanks for the words of encouragement!

Did you try changing the background from the theme editor?

Yes, that is what I have been trying to do, but it's not working. UGH. Well, if worse-comes-to-worse, I'll just have to try another theme. :(

Try sending an email to support. It may be a bug. There was some weird on my site where the homepage completely disappeared when using a certain layout and they had to reset something on their end.

Have you looked at the background image option in the theme editor? It looks like the background is a image. To get rid of the image you will have to click the option and say none.

Sarah, you did it!! Yes, I was working in that panel, but I never noticed that I could just delete the background image altogether and then select a color. That is EXACTLY what I was looking for. THANK YOU! You've rejuvenated my efforts, as I had walked away from the site the past few days. :)
