I'm playing around with long exposures of my pools fountains. I'm using a Lee BS on a 70-200. I set the camera to bulb and can get a descent exposure. Yet I want to shoot on Live View to lock the mirror up. When I attempt to do so I can't get a long exposure no matter how long I hold the cable release button. It snaps a quick exposure and completely ignores the cable release being held down. I tried a wireless (Yongnuo) cable release, wired and Triggertrap. It ignored all three until I unset LV.

I know I did this before, but can't figure out what I'm doing wrong this time. I also turned the camera off and then on again, but made no difference. Any insight?

Thanks for any help.

I could possibly be LV is set in movie mode rather than photo mode and the camera is just lifting the mirror to AF.
