I currently have the Canon hand strap on my 6D, and I love it, but I can't take the grip off and keep the strap. I definitely want to go with a hand strap even without the grip, but I don't know which to go for. I also am not crazy about the strap taking up the place of the tripod mount.

Anybody have any similar experiences or any suggestions as to where I should lean?

I'm using the Crumpler hand strap.

Don't recall if my Herringbone hand strap worked with my grip. I'm almost positive it did. If any one can chime in on that, it's a great hand strap. I'm currently using in on my 6D and no grip, with a Custom Slr Pro M plate and hand strap attachment.

I seem to recall my strap uses one of the side brackets and the tripod mount screw.

Think I'm leaning towards a Herringbone Hand Strap...Figure it'll be an excuse to get a new ballhead anyway...and maybe a tripod to go with it haha

I have the same one as @lotto, worked well, inexpensive, and fits perfectly for my 6D.
