Nice shots. Which TC were you using and how was the auto focus?
I have a Kenko 1.4 and never bothered to try it on the 500mm. I just assumed that it would be problematic.

Thanks everyone.
Jeff, the 500 is heavy, it is not fun to carry around. It was on a carbon gitzo tripod with wimberly gimbal head so it was very smooth and easy to use. I could not easily hold it in awkward positions for more than a few seconds and I hit the gym twice a week. I would have to change my shooting style if I got one.

Magoo
The 1.4 TC was a canon v2. The AF was good but slower than without.

There will be days when you get the shot(s) you missed days, months or years before.

Amazing set. Number three belongs on a magazine cover or contest winner perhaps!

The quality of the shot is were its at I think, I see the stuff that everyone puts up with the 500mm and wish I had a lens that was uncomfortably heavy. lol
