I am taking a vacation to visit my family in Ontario, and thus have a chance to be in the Kingston area around the middle of May.

A quick search on google brings up Prince Edward Point and it appears to be quite promising as an area to do some watching and photography. What I am after is help and suggestions on how and where might be the best locations and times (during the day) and who to contact (if required).

Thanks in advance for any help and suggestions.

Hey John,

I am in the far southern part of the province, near London, so I don't have any experience there, but I have heard a LOT about Amherst Island being a great spot for owls and such. You might want to make that a stop. Google it and you will see what I mean.

Cheers, Randy.

Thanks Randy.

My daughter is in Bath and I did have one day on Amherst island over New Years. Was at Owl woods, did not see a thing other than some chickadees, a downy and a Cardinal. Cold and blustery and any of the few people I ran into that day said it was very quiet also. Them's the breaks. I imagine I will go there also, but Prince Edward point seems to have a better write up on the spring migration.
