Feb 18, 2014 04:14 | #1 I'm asking this for an elderly friend who isn't on line. He has a 1d MK3 and regardless of what he does the max number of shots the viewfinder says are available are 15 regardless of the camera being set for Jpeg or RAW. The camera works perfectly otherwise. Can anyone make any suggestions whats the reason? Most Canons currently - 1D(Mks 2&3&4), 7D gripped 50D gripped x2, 40Dgripped x2, 30Dgripped, 20D gripped, 350 gripped, 300. with L lenses

However I don't know if it will show the setting in the viewfinder, but if I set the 1DX to a max burst length of 15, then it immediately shows 15 in the viewfinder, instead of 62, which was there the moment before I limited the burst length. Removing the limit and I see 62 again. Anders

joeseph "smells like turd"  More info | Feb 18, 2014 17:54 | #13 good result - strongly recommend the first setting changed after clearing all camera settings is to set "shoot w/o card" to OFF... some fairly old canon camera stuff, canon lenses, Manfrotto "thingy", and an M5, also an M6 that has had a 720nm filter bolted onto the sensor:
