My cottage in the Boreal Forrest. Maybe one day if it stops snowing I'll get a chance to start my snowmobile and go for a ride. Wife took these with her iPad. I was too tired to lift my camera.

If this is too off topic mods then just delete the thread or move to an appropriate place if there is one.

It's raining and upper 40's here in Seattle. The mountains are finally getting snow, going from 35% of normal snowpack to 80% in about 5 days, with more on the way.

Where are you? Oh, and nice pictures, I figure that keeps us on photography topic:D

Still the same as it was back in August/September... 75 F high, no rain. It'll probably stay the same for the next 10 months. It's really boring here. We need some of that water in any form, snow or rain.

Oh yeah. Tons of snow a very cold winter this year.

Red arrow = location. Just at the northern tip of Nopiming Provincial park, midway of the green areas The green area just above is Atikaki Provincial park and the lower part is Whiteshell Provincial park. All of these 3 parks are in the Canadian shield/boreal forrest. Atitaki and Nopiming are considered wilderness but I can drive to my place. Atikaki is accessible by canoe only. Whiteshell below us is were the money is. Paved roads, gas stations, etc.

The right of the dotted line is Woodland Caribou park which is in Ontario. We used snowmobile into there about 40 miles to go ice fishing.

I'll bet the mosquitoes are the size of sparrows in the summer.

It looks beautiful up there.

All nice quality images but liking your summer shots much more.
Our many days of subzero temps and 16 inches of snow leaving fast now, 52 degrees today, rain in the forecast so now the floods will begin.

And I thought it was bad when I had to shovel the driveway. You guys need to shovel the roof!

Can't you just kick it to make it slide off?

Have you tried to kick snow off your your driveway :D I know the roof is on an angle but it is still pretty much like a driveway. Snow binds in layers due to multiple snowfalls and sticks to the shingles as well.
