A buddy and I went up to Phoenix to get some shots and tried a place that had a few burrowing owls last year. The problem was they were banded. This year no bands which is nicer for photos.

My favorite shot (700mm slight crop)

Tighter crop, same bird, slightly different angle (700mm crop)

The portrait close-up (400mm cropped)

And a full body shot of the portrait guy. He would not leave the shadow directly in front of his burrow but I took the shot anyway. (400mm slightly cropped)
