Heii guys

Long time no post from me but im again at that point

I felt the urge to own a macro lens, but lately i thought about it and i dont think i would use it much. However, on my list are either a TS-E lens as i feel more and more appealed by architecture images and some abstract environmental things.

But then im also appealed at the wideness of a 24mm lens. It has to be sharp because for wide angle i already have the 16-35Lii. But i want a standard wide angle prime which is noticebly sharper than my 16-35. especially in the corners.

My ideas were:
24L TS-E
24L 1.4
Or save some money and get the 24 2.8

What do you think? Which is sharpest and suits my shooting style (Look at my 500px (external link)) most?

I vote for the 24 TS-E II . Especially if architecture is one of your favorite domains.

Im pretty unsure.. Because i would use a 24mm 1.4 as much as a TS-E lens because of its low light abilities...

In addition, most of the time i have no time to set the shift and tilt on the lens or i dont have a tripod with me all the time

I love my 24L II it's fun, and my 100L is a great macro both handheld and on a tripod, two wins either way.
As for a tilt shift, I have never used one, and shoot very little architecture myself. Can't help you there.

What about the mark I against the mark II of the 24mm TS-E?

Is the first version any good? I find 2000$ quite a lot for a manual focus lens... Because instead going to the TS-E v1 i'd better go on the 24Lii instead of obsolete glass..

Whta is your experience?
