Many thanks to everyone for most interesting and fun entries
I was half wondering 'did it seem like madness' a photo of certain *titles (which *seemed meaninless ) emphasis on 'seemed' lol
am delighted what you came up with, I didn't want it too easy , why I said 'just the title' in the subject line ,as then the photos stood out with the supporting title only and having not to 'explain' meant it was a bit more difficult .
I think the photos you entered did of great job of exactly what was requested
thanks

Northant’s nin

‘Ride on’

nice panning . even though you 'caught' the shot a lot of details of the speeding rider and motorbike are lost

Michael

‘Silence is golden’

very nice sunset, can almost hear the silence. cropping below some of the dark area may add to the scene
?

Teekay

‘Make it or break it’

perfect for the title
lol
I hope no one was injured. the car looks fairly rusty in parts, and its licence plate is removed its as though the 'wreck' had been lying around for a while (after being bashed)
but the rest of the scene, people and cars all at angles, it makes one feel the accident happened shortly before
(the muddy tracks around the car seem fresh enough)
certainly makes one wonder what on earth really happened
lol

or is it another case of Agatha Christy , re 'who done it' , re who originally 'stole' the 'crashed' vehicle
?
mysterious
and curious
the evidence.... of a straight 'normal car' crash ......don't add up :mrgreen: but the fresh muddy tracks

Jim Askew

‘Games people play’

beautiful action captured
lovely lighting coming in from behind the last wave
usually I don’t mind if the sky is pale (or blown)... as can happen in not so good weather but in this case I think cropping off the paleness completely just above that back wave , it will show the surfers best as the scene is theirs
(hope the fellow in the water got out ok)
lol

Oh Look

‘Words’
I was hoping for the ‘word’ to be used in a picture and its lovely to see it
as is meant the main focus is nicely showing directly on the blue book, however the picture as a whole maybe would be better with less distraction regards a few books in the line up behind , they being so large they catch the eye
also whats shown of the 'book support' (in front) its both blurry and sharp in areas and causes some small distraction from the main. (the blue book's wording)
but , many thanks for taking the trouble. much appreciated

Raven (Jim)

‘Silence is golden’

great scene of the much needed silence which is so welcomed when baby arrives... and takes over (when awake)
lol. it is a beautiful capture. (ever so slightly over sharpened )

Congratulatons to the winner Raven (Jim)

and to runners up :

# 2 Teekay

# 3 Jim (Askew)

again, many thanks for taking part

: )
END

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Hello Everyone
: )
Hope this is not too boring a 'Subject' again ,but am listing a few tunes by The Tremeloe's album 'Silence is Golden' and would appreciate any or all of you taking a shot {pun} of any of the titles in the list below
may be fun, or not, but.... nothing to lose:eyes
... even the prize):lol:
best of luck
Titles:
‘silence is golden’
‘ make it ,break it’
‘ games people play’
‘twist and shout’
‘even the bad times are good’
‘ride on’
‘shake hands ‘ (and come out crying)’
‘cool jerk’
thank you very much
:
Thank you, Marie. And congrats to teekay and Jim (and the other entries). Thanks for hosting another fun contest. Wasn't sure I had a photo that would fit the theme this week. And couldn't go out to get one as I'm tied to home with a bad infection in my leg. Thankfully I ran across this one.
I did overdo the sharpening a wee bit too much. I wanted the blanket to sharpen up a bit more.
I'll be back with the next theme later tonight or tomorrow morning. For now I have to get my leg elevated as per doctor's orders (I wasn't a good patient today :-)
Congratulations to Jim on his peaceful shot - I always think babies are best appreciated when they are asleep;). And thanks, Marie, for the coveted #2 spot.
Re my accident entry, it had indeed just happened. Last month, driving the black vehicle, I was hit by the white one, a speeding beater with no plates or insurance, whose driver was later charged. My new G15 was immediately put to good documentary use!
Neither of the two women who appear to be arguing (actually they weren't) were the drivers involved.
Congratulations to Jim and Teekay, and thanks Marie for the 3rd place :-)
Love the sleeping baby, Jim :-) And, the "fender-bender" fits perfectly Teekay :-)
These song title contests are fun...well done, Marie! Looking forward to next week's challenge.
Thanks, Marie, for your comments, and for doing the hosting this week. The song titles are fun, and always challenging. Mine was taken at a very quiet moment, not too far from teekay's home area. The golden hues of the sky brought it to mind when I saw that particular title. Congrats to the winners! Off now to look for some broken stuff! :D
Congrats winners! Kudos to all for the creativity here.
@JimAskew -- 'Games People Play'. Contest aside, I really like what you've captured with this shot... the pair of surfers silhouettes against the translucent waves. Next time you might have to paddle out there to get a bit closer to the action. ;)
