Here are a couple shots from this past summer in "zero" light pollution zone. I was up early waiting for the moon to set. I know there are star trails I was cutting it close with no tracking :p

Here is the glow from the moon actually setting! 17mm f3.2 ISO 6400, 20 sec.

Love them all. So much detail.
That Dark sky really pays back.
Well done.

Great shots! I'm going to be spending a few days in super dark skies in Central Oregon later this year. Hope to get some nice shots like these!

BTW, can you just imagine what pre-industrial revolution skies must have been like? Wow!

If I don't get the shots I want with the gear I have, the only optics I need to examine is the mirror on the bathroom wall. The root cause will be there.

^ Or rather better call them "All those Galaxies" instead of stars that each contains billions of stars...
But then what is the most amazying thing is all this light is in one side of our universe and expanding with other side in darkness, then even more interestingly, all these lights are going to turn dark once the Hydrogen owens are depleted fully of all that can be used today in all those suns... That Big Unbang or Big Silence.
