Ok..

Number 1 is far too desaturated.. And is also a little on the yellow side.. Whenever I desaturate, I'll push the contrast to compensate... Also the hair needs a lot of pp work to make it cleaner.. It also looks a little out of focus to me..

Number 2. The flyaway hairs need sorting massively on this one, also I'd dodge her eyes to make them pop more.. There is a lot of distracting things going in in this image.. And her hair gets lost in the dark collar.. Her pupils are also large which looks a a little wierd which could be sorted easily with liquify.. My last thing about this images is her grabby hands... I always tell models to use soft hands.. Fingers in fists isn't the best look in a "beauty" shot.. It could do with being about half a stop brighter also.

3. This Is your best image. But why would you shoot down on her with a wide angle lens?! It's just so unflattering and it only really works if the expression were to have some comedic value.. A little bit of finer detail in the retouching is also needed.. There is a distracting hair over her left eye.. And a few small wrinkles which you could do with losing... Along with some of the hair on the left of the image..

Overall they aren't bad images... But I would like to see some emotion in them.. All the expression is in ther eyes.. And there isn't much here... The best expression is number 2.. But it's not a natural smile... Work on connecting with the models, getting emotion out of them and capturing it! :)

Please don't take my comments as being nasty... Because that is definitely not what is intended.. I'm just being completely honest in my opinion... Hope I've helped :)

Number 2. The flyaway hairs need sorting massively on this one, also I'd burn her eyes to make them pop more.. There is a lot of distracting things going in in this image.. This guy, knows what he's talking about! I completely agree with everything said here.

image 1: beautiful model but lacking any kind of emotion. The hair seems a bit a mess, which would be ok if you were doing a portrait that told some story that corroborated why. A little over exposed and washed out. It's hard to tell what the strong facial features of this model are, other than the nose. If you wanted to go the side I might show her profiled a tad more to hide the camera left nostril. A little burning (dodge/burn) around the cheek bones and jawline would go a long way.

Image 2: Overall extremely dark image. There isn't much head showing in this headshot. Seems a little more like a fun facebook photo that happens to be done well and without the use of a cell phone. Headshots are all about the emotion and the eyes, and they are just so dark and lifeless in this image. perhaps a bit of reflection or fill light camera left would brighten these up. You've lost all your detail due to over exposure on the left part of the headband and there also isn't any detail in the hair.

image 3: I never use a wide angle unless I'm going for some caricature type images for a headshot. It isn't flattering at all. With this haircut it accentuates the hair even more and make her forehead and top of her head look abnormally large. Pupils are quite large again which means we miss out on the eye color. Use those modeling lights if ya got em.

Out of all the images I like the first as it seems the strongest and best lit with pupils at normal size.

My critique was not to berate or tell you that your photographs are bad, just my thoughts on how they could be better. Thanks for sharing and keep shooting!
