Until I save up some more money to buy a Spyder4 Pro or Elite, I am stuck using the Mac's built-in calibration software. I know there is no real substitute for "doing it right" with a device like that, but hey, I need to make do with what I've got for now.
My question is about when I go into the Display menu to calibrate, I am first given the option to choose a profile to start with. In other words, I can load an sRGB, AdobeRGB, or a number of other profiles BEFORE I click on "Calibrate". So does it matter which one of these is loaded and "live" before I start calibrating? As I click on different profiles, the colors and luminosity change pretty drastically from one to the next - does it matter which one serves as the starting point?
