I have a LowePro Flipside 300 bag, and for the chest strap, the male clip in connector broke off (one of the tabs).

I sent LowePro an e-mail, but haven't received a response for a few days.

Does anyone know what these strap clips are called, and if you can just buy them through a third party?

Find their Customer Service phone number and call them. Their CS is very good, and if you ask nicely, you will probably get the parts sent to you for free. It happened to me with one of their shoulder pads.

Are you talking about the chest strap that you can slide up and down on the shoulder straps? If so the strap will come off if you pull hard enough. Mine accidentally did and others have had it happen. On mine the cording stops just above the bottom end of the slide. You should be able to slide it off there. LowePro will probably send you a replacement strap for the male side.
