Wondering if any one has shot inside cowboy stadium. I maybe shooting an event there in the next week. Can anyone tell me about the lighting there. I've shot lots of event like this. Just never one in this kind of arena. Most places j shoot have poor lighting. So I need to bring in strobes. At this one I will not be able to. Any tips I can get for set up before I get there would be great.

Last time I shot there I was shooting at ISO 6400, 1/640, f4 and ISO 3200, 1/1000, f2.8.

Go here and you can get some idea of settings: http://www.jimlanter.us …-vs-Highland-Park-playof/ (external link)

What will you be shooting? The lighting there is not as good as you might think for photography. Shooting football with my 7D and a 300mm 2.8L, my ISO was ranging from 3200 on up to get shutter speeds of 1/1800 range at f2.8.

With your 7D, you should be able to get some shots. With the darker surface that a rodeo arena has will present a few more challenges.

Thanks for all the help. Too bad it was all for nothing. Guess it's not going to happen.
