Today was a simply gorgeous day, sunny, light winds and 10 deg. Celsius.
I managed to make it out to a local pond in downtown Dartmouth where local waterfowl congregate over the winter. A zillion mallards and gulls, but out in the middle were these Common Mergansers, a couple of Hoodies and along the shore the Wigeons came out to graze along the banks.
Here's my take for the day.
Common Mergansers (man they're hard to get without blowing out the whites!)

Hooded Mergansers (they never came close!)

And last but not least and American Wigeon
