Nice capture. Too bad the bg isn't blurred more. That would give more of a sense of motion.

I hope you don't mind but here's a quick example. Of course ideally, the blur would be achieved at the time of exposure by panning.

Ah, but (I'm being really picky here!), you blurred the shadow as well. Since the shadow is moving at the same speed as the plane, it would not be blurred any more than the plane would.

Like I said, I'm being ultra super dooper picky here.

I never thought of that ^^

hows this one then? It's as shot 1/100th and the sucker was tearing the sky a new one. Most RC stuff I do to get this kind of blur I need to be much slower in shutter speed

How the hell do they fly those things so fast and so low without crashing them?

aircraft set up properly are fairly stable, but yeah it does take some practice....and a few of bags full of balsa and foam bits

here is a sequence (from the same pilot as above actually) flying his dads plane.
This one is fairly big unlike the little cheap foamy above. It's around 80" span, powered by a 50cc 2 stroke and worth a lot more $. The problem here was he wasn't square to the runway and a little too far out so the edge of the mowed section crept up on him.....fast!

I missed the money shot....ah well. It shows how close it came to buying the farm, you can see the flowers being thrown up

and yes he made it. After landing showing the grass on the left wing he picked up on the pass
