Jpeg Problem

Im having a real problem with saving jpegs from photoshop. The files look sooo much different after I save then. Im sure its just a simple problem like some option box that shouldn't be on but I have fiddled around and I can't figure it out. Help Please!

Image on the right was saved and became image on the left.

I have not but I realize I need to study and understand it.

Check out the "Sticky" threads at the top of this section, there are a couple listing "Color" in the titles.

As to color space, just be aware that your output image can look different, depending on the color space you output in and the viewer you are using. The one "safe" color space is sRGB -- pics should look reasonably close if you output them in that space.

To check your Photoshop settings, go to Edit/Color Settings. You can, to be safe, set Photoshop to the sRGB color space and choose options to trigger warnings about images that are not in that color space. You can also use Edit/Convert to Profile to have PS set the color space.

What are you previewing in? That's a valuable question at this point.

In photoshop, under edit go to Convert to profile and choose sRGB IEC61966-2.1 in the profile box and hit ok...

If I had to guess I would say that you are editing with something other than sRGB in Photoshop, and then saving off the file without converting and embedding sRGB. Then when you view it outside of Photoshop the color profile can't be rendered and you end up with different results.
